Speaker Series: Non-traditional Career Opportunities for Students in Humanities and Social Sciences, 2017 – 2018

IMLS National Leadership Grants for Libraries
2014 (Not Awarded; Proposed award amount – $131,674.51)
The preliminary proposal, “Building a Community and Prototype Around Health Sciences Focused Maker Learning Spaces” passed the first phase of the review and was selected to advance to the second phase of review. Due to the very short timeline for the full proposal submission, the second phase was not pursued.

Completed as a class project at Simmons College. For Prof. Candy Schwartz’s Digital Libraries course in Fall, 2007.

  • Provided one-on-one consultation for faculty and students about the mobile resources and citation managers.
  • Provided in-library training for the library staff on citation managers, electronic resources, the library intranet (SharePoint) use, and the library’s chat reference system and social media channels on a regular basis.
  • Handled everyday reference questions and literature search requests.
